¿Nokia apuesta por AJAX?

Si es controvertido hablar de la existencia de una Web 2.0, mencionar el despegue de la Mobile Web 2.0 es todavía más polémico.
Lo indiscutible es que los servicios web colaborativos han tenido un éxito viral, que ha reavivado el interés del gran público por la web. Esta circunstancia está unida a una interfaz web más usable gracias en gran parte a AJAX.
Nokia lo sabe y no quiere perder la oportunidad de trasladar este éxito al navegador open source basado en Safari que anunció en Noviembre de 2005. Lee Epting, vicepresidenta de Forum Nokia, da algunas pistas en este sentido:
“A lot of it has to do with the availability of the newer browsing platforms. We are going to have to look at developers. That’s where AJAX will be getting a lot of play.”
Sin embargo Epting no se termina de mojar:
“We are in discussions around strategy and what we support.”
¿Serán estas declaraciones un globo sonda o un aviso para desarrolladores?
